A week cycling in the Alps: Cycling Options
Our Chalet in the Alps is perfectly situated for you to ride many of the cols made famous by the Tour de France. The mountain passes in this area are among the toughest you will find in the Alps. They provide numerous opportunities to test your climbing skills and to admire the spectacular mountain scenery. For weary legs, there is the flat road along the valley floor. You could turn the legs over and cycle into the nearby township of Bourg d'Oisans - the attractive main village in the valley and a cyclist's Mecca at the foot of Alpe d'Huez. Our cycle mechanic and sag wagon will be available to support you during the week.
RIDE OPTIONS:
Cols close to our Chalet:
  • Alpe d'Huez.
  • Col d'Ornon
  • Col du Glandon
  • Col de la Croix de Fer
  • Col du Lautaret
  • Col du Galibier
  • Col du Telegraphe
  • Col du Mollard
  • Col du Vaujany

  • A 130km circuit taking in the Col du Glandon, descending the other side and climbing the Col du Mollard and the Eastern side of the Col de la Croix de Fer.
