This trip is intended as an introduction to what
we are all about at Wide Open Road. Typically at Wide Open Road we
run trips that last for two weeks and are of a challenging nature. This trip is shorter
both in days and in kilometers than our others. So if you are short of
holiday time or prefer a daily distance that is closer
to 60kms than 100kms then this trip might be for you!
For our keener riders, on some days during this
one week trip we have
two route options:
A shorter or flatter option of around
60kms (that's 40 miles) OR a longer, hillier or
more challenging option of around
80-100kms (that's 50+ miles).
The suggested lunch spots of the two routes will usually coincide to
keep the days sociable regardless of which route you prefer.

This ride was established in the Wide Open Road calendar in 2004 and
as you would expect passes through the most famous vineyards,
the most scenic areas and the most attractive villages.
The ride is easier than our others but NOT easy! Burgundy has rolling hills and the ride still
presents plenty of challenges to our riders.
