THE DAYS
Day One - We leave our hotel in Rome and take a train to the outskirts of Rome. We cycle north-west via Bracciano and it's castle. A choice of routes takes you either via the necropolis at Cerveteri and along the coast or via Mount Tolfa and the hills. The destination is Civitavecchia and an overnight boat trip to Cagliari and Sardinia.
Rome-Civitavecchia (85kms hilly or 88kms flatter).
Day Two - On arrival at Cagliari we head east along the coast. We camp this night on the Costa Rei - known for it's beaches.
Cagliari-Costa Rei (80kms).
Day Three - We start tracking North along the coast of Sardinia. It's a long day but one of the flatter ones.
Costa Rei-Sta Maria Navarrese (105kms).
Day Four - Today we cycle one of the most spectacular roads in Sardinia. It's a hilly day but there are plenty of scenic rewards for your efforts. We camp by the famous Cala Gonone beach.

Day Five - The pattern of tracking Northwards up the East coast of Sardinia continues. Our overnight stop is S. Teodoro - again on the coast.

S. Teodoro-Sta Teresa Gallura (89kms).

Day Eight - We head into the Corsican high country. We reach an altitude of ove 1000m on a ride to our overnight town of Zonza.
